Use the tools in the toolbar to mark up the PDF (or use the Touch Bar ). In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isn’t showing). This has to exist! Every single person in my company uses preview for this purpose. Preview is a solid option for basic PDF editing, and if you own a Mac, accessing Previews powers is as simple as launching the app. The editing tools in the Markup toolbar are ideal for collaboratinguse them to suggest changes to a PDF and to respond to suggestions. I have CutePDF which I believe can do this but bonus points if it works within the app by itself, and can compress it in some way so I can send it over gmail. I want to be able to open them in an app, see all of the pages in a thumbnail view on the side, be able to pick and choose which ones I want to keep, and then I want to rearrange them according to how I need them. Some of these files will be jpegs, some will be PDF. So they'll send me their tax returns, bank statements, paystubs, etc.
